When I Clean My Desk I Feel Like I've Conquered The World.

I'm going to do something:
- I can control.
- Will make me work more efficiently.
- And will finally make me go through all the papers piling around my desk. (I'm almost like a hamster because I love a good print on paper, graphic on paper, etc.)
Yes. I cleaned my desk before I brushed my hair, while wearing PJ's, while on my first cup of coffee. It was 40 degrees outside and dark at 9:30am with a "wind chill" of 30 degrees and a slight pelt of sleet falling outside. Cleaning and tidying my desk didn't take too long and, my gosh, it feels amazing. I feel lighter and a little more confident, albeit wobbly, moving along into 2026. Also, a bit more organized. I highly recommend doing this small(?) task as it gives some semblance of control in a world where everything feels unhinged and dark.
I didn't take a before and after photo so you'll have to settle for the photo above of a lovely light post from about a week ago.
If I feel a bit more motivated I'll post photos later this week.

P.S. I drafted this earlier this evening (January 7th) prior to reading or ingesting any of today's news. You'll be reading this sometime the morning of January 8th or sometime after. And I feel like all I can do is wish you a good morning, or afternoon and letting you know - you're not alone.
... and I feel like I keep thinking: What's next? What can possibly happen that's worse than this? But, maybe the way to move forward is to think: How can I help? What can I do?
