If The Movie Has At Least One Christmas Tree...

then, it's a Christmas movie (or so they say). 

Holiday movies that have a different twist than the usual sappiness.

• Christmas, Again (2014 - a beautiful indie movie shot on film)

• Gremlins (the 80’s!)

• Black Christmas (1974 or 2006 version)

• Mean Girls (LiLo in one of her best movies.)

• Die Hard (Bruce blowing shit up.)

• Jingle Bell Heist (cute movie with nods to the broken healthcare system[s])

• The Ref (1994 - starring Denis Leary, Judy Davis and Kevin Spacey)

P.S. The only way I know how to get through the next two weeks is to watch the usual not-so-Christmasy-Christmas movies, bake, and try to think happy thoughts while spending time with family. It's a privilege to be able to do all this and I realize it and am forever grateful to have the option. This year hasn't been easy for many people and 2026 is shaping up to roll out the same way. My hope is for all of you to have a beautiful ending to 2025 and an optimistic outlook for 2026, it's how we'll make it through.
