What I Did See.

What I did see... A crowd of hundreds (a thousand?) of people lining both sides of a main street that went for blocks and blocks in a suburb. Children carrying handmade signs. A drum circle replete with a single tambourine player. Donation stations to collect food for a local food pantry. A call for a general strike. "RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!" People laughing and smiling while wearing unicorn costumes. "NO KINGS!" And a lot of American flags and crossed out crowns.

What I did not see: hate, violence, "anti-American" rhetoric spewing from mouths, or blatant racism. Or misogyny. 

I much prefer what I did see than what I did not.

My hope is higher than it was just a few days ago.
