Create Community To Push Back

I've found that creating community, volunteering, and capturing protests with my camera is how I'm getting through this horrific shit right now. 

It seems to be working. 

I check the news, but most days, it's later in the day. 

One thing I've realized, especially this last week: Trump wants to create as much division among communities as possible to help push his agenda forward. Resist that shit. Get to know your neighbors, go to your local public library, volunteer at a food bank, photograph what you see happening, or write about what you see. Or do all of them. 

Remind others...

And the sharp lines that Trump lays down in neighborhoods, and throughout this country are not indelible, but it's up to us to make the time to push back through connection within our communities. 

Listening to this song (Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name) is making me think of LA right now. Am thankful that Angelenos are standing up for their neighbors. <3
